HOUSTON - You don’t have to wait until February to enjoy Super Bowl events in Houston. The Houston Super Bowl Host Committee and Mayor Turner announced Tuesday a one-of-a-kind fan experience called the Touchdown Tour.

The tour kicks off this Saturday, Oct. 8, at Mason Park at 75th Street and Tipps.

It will feature interactive games, a Houston Texans mobile locker room, special photo booths, giveaways, music and more. Food and beverage will be available for purchase.

“Not everyone will be able to be in the seats at NRG Stadium on game day in February, but that should not mean they don’t get to experience the fun,” said Mayor Turner.  “The Touchdown Tour will take the Super Bowl experience on the road to neighborhoods all over Houston.”

The Touchdown Tour will travel to 11 communities every weekend between now and mid-January. It will be held at community parks with the exception of the November 19th date which will take place at Kingwood High School.

“This is a way to give back to the community and really allow them to have their own Super Bowl celebration," said Sallie Sargent, the President and CEO of the Houston Super Bowl Host Committee.
