Former NFL defensive end Greg Hardy was indicted Monday on a single felony count of cocaine possession, according to court records.
A Richardson (Tex.) Municipal Court judge issued the indictment related to Hardy’s September arrest. A search of his vehicle turned up a “purple plastic baggie containing a white pasty substance,” according to the court documents.
The estimated weight of the cocaine was 0.7 grams. Under Texas state law, the former Dallas Cowboys and Carolina Panthers pass rusher faces a jail term of at least 180 days — up to two years — as well as a $10,000 fine.
Hardy allowed an officer to search his car after the traffic stop. Along with the cocaine, the search also turned up marijuana remnants as well as a Topgolf membership card with his name was listed as “Overlord Hardy Jr.” and multiple gun range membership cards.
