COPPELL, Texas (AP) — Sonar will be used in the search for the body of a Dallas-area high school football player who disappeared while jumping from cliffs into a lake.
An official with the Brazos River Authority says the search resumed Tuesday for 17-year-old Jacob Logan. The wide receiver for Coppell (kuh-PEHL') High School, one of the state's top-ranked teams, disappeared Sunday while swimming at Possum Kingdom Lake.
The senior was with friends at the lake, located about 80 miles west of Fort Worth. Authority spokeswoman Judi Pierce says poor visibility hampered Monday's search efforts.
Logan scored a touchdown Friday as Coppell beat Hebron 29-3. Coppell is ranked No. 4 in the latest Associated Press Class 5A football poll.
