Astros get record share of postseason pool money

HOUSTON - It’s going to be a sweet Christmas for the World Series Champion Houston Astros. They learned Monday they’ll split a record $30,420,155.57 in postseason pool money.

That compares to a mere $27,586,017.75 for the Cubs last year.

The amount is determined by gate receipts from the playoffs and World Series. The 2017 players pool was a record $84,500,432.15, which will be split between the 10 postseason teams.
