Les Miles holds out on building a big new house in case he gets coaching job

Les Miles' plans of building a new house on land he owns in Baton Rouge are on hold. Just in case he gets back into coaching.

The former LSU coach, who has been working as an analyst for Fox and has a podcast called "Les is More," has been mentioned for the football coaching job at Oregon State and possibly Nebraska, where his son Ben is a freshman fullback.

Miles has land that he bought while coaching at LSU on which he plans to build a house in the next "year, year and a half," he told the Advocate.

But, those plans could change.

“We would not build the other house if I got the right job,” Miles told the Advocate.

The report says that Miles recently "downsized" in house, selling a 5,500-square-foot house for $1.45 million and buying a 4,375-square-foot house for $1.3 million. This house is something to hold him over until he builds the new one, or until he gets a coaching job.

"We enjoy Baton Rouge," he told the Advocate. "Our kids all grew up here. We like it here."
