HOUSTON -- The Texans head coach confirmed Tuesday that Ryan Fitzpatrick will be the team’s starting quarterback.
The 10-year veteran will lead the Texans into battle in their first game of the 2014 season against the Washington Redskins.
Fitzpatrick was drafted by the St. Louis Rams in the 2005 NFL Draft. He went on to play for the Bengals, the Bills, and the Titans.
With Fitzpatrick penciled in atop the depth chart, University of Houston grad Case Keenum and rookie fourth-rounder Tom Savage will battle for backup duties.
