It was Dog Days at the Ballpark Sunday at the Astros game. Fans were allowed to bring their four-legged friends to Minute Maid Park and the canines were treated like kings and queens. They took part in a parade around the field before moving to the dog section behind the bullpen. The dogs enjoyed a pretty good game until the last couple of innings when the Astros ended up in the doghouse for letting it slip away.

HOUSTON -- It was Dog Days at the Ballpark Sunday at the Astros game. Fans were allowed to bring their four-legged friends to Minute Maid Park and the canines were treated like kings and queens.

From full-bred to mixed breeds, there were dogs of all sorts, shapes and sizes. As far as we could tell, they all played nicely together.

The people and pets paraded around the field before the game against the Padres got under way. Then they moved to the section behind the bullpen. (This season, that's also known as the doghouse.)

The crowd got a chuckle when some dogs howled along during the National Anthem.

In case you're wondering, a professional pooper-scooper was on hand to take care of the inevitable nature breaks.

People and pets enjoyed a pretty good game until the last couple of innings when the Astros let it slip away. Growl.

Check out our photos of the adorable canines and their BFFs!
