VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — Sebastien Le Toux had two late goals and the Vancouver Whitecaps rallied to beat FC Edmonton 3-1 on Wednesday night to advance to the Canadian Championship final.
The Whitecaps took the two-game series 5-1.
In the two-game final, Vancouver will face Toronto FC for a spot in CONCACAF Champions League play. Toronto beat Montreal 2-0 on Wednesday after they tied 0-0 last week in Montreal. The series will open next Wednesday night in Vancouver.
Le Toux broke a 1-1 tie in the 87th minute on a header off Davide Chiumiento's free kick.
Darren Mattocks added a goal in added time. Yashir Pinto scored for Edmonton.
