HOUSTON – The MLS All Stars began their work-outs Monday morning under the watchful eye of Dynamo head coach Dominic Kinnear.
The players know that this will be a huge game for not only themselves, but for the league as a whole, and playing well against Manchester United will go a long way.
"There are guys in MLS that are good enough to play over there but it’s difficult for players to get permits," said San Jose midfielder Bobby Convey. "This is a good opportunity for everyone here to show what they can do and show that MLS has made great strides over the last year."
Manchester United arrived shortly after lunch time from Kansas City, where they played many of their reserves on Sunday night and lost.
However, Wednesday night’s game is being televised internationally, the Red Devils will put their best available squad on the field and on the flip side, Man U knows they will be getting the best from the MLS.
Since Major League Soccer started these All-Star games several years ago, their All-Star squads have never lost to an English Premier League team.
