HOUSTON--The Dynamo beat the New York Red Bulls 2-0 Friday night to move into first place in the MLS Eastern Conference.

Jermaine Taylor scored in the 2nd minute of play and Calen Carr added a goal of his own on a header later in the 2nd half.

Dynamo went on to win 2-0.

The Dynamo dominated the Red Bulls all night long as they notched their franchise-record tying winning streak of five games.

The game was sold out a week in advance and there was much hype surrounding the match in MLS circles.

The Red Bulls’ star player, Thierry Henry, makes $5.6 million per year. The entire Dynamo team’s salary is $2.9 million.
