SOUTH PLANTATION, Florida—Erin DiMeglio is a 17-year-old high school student making history in Florida.
She’s the third-string quarterback for South Plantation High School, the first female to play the sport on a high school field.
On Friday night, she made no passes or yards, but she got to play. She took two snaps, handling the ball off in a 31-14 win.
This after her team rallied and chants of “Put Erin In!” came from the stands.
