HOUSTON- The Jack Yates Lions dunked the Dogs of Reagan in district play, Tuesday at Del Mar Field house. Joseph Young of Yates put up an impressive 28 points in only three quarters of play, leading the Lions to a 113-73 route against Reagan.
The Lions' full court press wreaked havoc on Regan, giving the ball back to the Lions' overwhelming offense. Yates' high octane and high flying style of play is hard for most teams to contest, let alone challenge, took over, with five players in double digits.
Joseph Young, son of University of Houston Coach Michael Young, led the Lions, scoring from both inside and out, knocking down repeated three pointers. Brandon Williams finished up 20 points which primarily came from behind the arch. The "human highlight reel" Brandon Peters put up 19 points but an that got the crowd going.
Reagan got some real flashes of light from their constant stand out, Andre Potts who scored a game high 29 points in a losing effort.
