HOUSTON – One of the original Houston Texans, guard Chester Pitts, is hoping to resign with the team he has called home for since 2002.
At any other point, signing Pitts would be a foregone conclusion, but after last year’s season ending knee injury against Tennessee in Week 2, bringing back the big guy might be seen as a bigger risk.
The injury snapped Pitts’ consecutive game streak at 114.
Chester told 11 Sports Anchor Butch Alsandor he’s not yet at 100%, but that there are always ways around that.
"You could set up a deal where you play for this, if you do this, kind of like an incentive based type deal," says Pitts. "I think they’re working on things so where on my end, I get compensated and on their end, they have the protection they’re looking for."
