Owls and Golden Hurricanes may blow a full gale
01:33 PM CDT on Tuesday, September 30, 2008
An offensive explosion is possible when Rice plays Tulsa Saturday in a Conference USA game.
Tulsa leads the nation by scoring an average of nearly 55 points per game while Rice hung 77 on North Texas last week.
TU's David Johnson leads the nation in passing efficiency, and in the first 12 years of C-USA there only three times did a quarterback throw six touchdown passes in a game.
That has now happened three times this season alone with Johnson doing it twice and Rice quarterback Chase Clement doing it once.
Kickoff is at 7 p.m. Saturday in Tulsa.
