Reid leads Texas Southern past Concordia-Selma

HOUSTON -- Bobby Reid ran for three touchdowns and threw for two more as Texas Southern beat Concordia-Selma 45-27 on Saturday night.
Reid, an Oklahoma State transfer, was 18 of 30 passing for 268 yards. He ran for 59 yards on 20 carries.

Bobby Reid accounted for five touchdowns in the victory.
Freshman Marcus Wright ran for 124 yards on 14 carries to lead the Tigers rushing attack. Wright scored on an 80-yard run in the third quarter, in which the Tigers (3-2) outscored the Hornets 20-0 to break away.
The game was moved to Delmar Stadium and played in the evening because of Hurricane Ike.
John Halman caught two passes for 123 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Hornets (4-2). Ken Johnson hit 6-of-20 passes for 229 yards and two scores. Johnson ran for another touchdown.
Texas Southern held Concordia-Selma to minus-15 yards rushing and outgained the Hornets 498-214 in total offense.
The Tigers held a 25-21 halftime lead.
