Houston coach Tom Herman calls reports of him taking another job 'false'

On Friday, University of Houston head football coach Tom Herman said not to believe the rumors and the only job he is concerned with is the one he has at UH right now.

Houston coach Tom Herman was emphatic Friday that reports he was working toward deal to become the next coach at LSU or another school were "false."

Prior to the Cougars facing Memphis, Herman was asked by ESPN announcer Cole Cubelic about how the talked to his team about the possibility he would not be the coach next year.

"Honestly. Don't believe anything that you read," Herman said.

Herman was then asked if the reports were false.

"Absolutely. Sure."

He then added: "There's nothing to handle except beating Memphis."

Even with the denial, the next couple of days should be enlightening about where Herman eventually ends up on the sideline next season.
