COLLEGE STATION, Texas  -- Texas A&M coach Mike Sherman wants his team to forget all about Saturday’s 52-30 win over Texas Tech— the in Sherman’s two-year tenure.

The Aggies (4-3, 1-2 Big 12) returned home about 1 a.m. Sunday, and Sherman gathered his team on the airport tarmac and encouraged them to go out and celebrate. But he warned them to return to practice Monday ready to work hard to prepare for Saturday’s game against Iowa State (5-3, 2-2).

A week ago, A&M returned home after a 62-14 loss to Kansas State that raised questions about the direction of the program under Sherman.

The Aggies responded by rushing for 321 yards against the Red Raiders. The offensive line put together its best game of the season after struggling for the previous three weeks.
