HOUSTON—Students at Texas A&M are camping out for a second night to be the first in line when Cotton Bowl tickets go on sale.

On the north end of Kyle Field the students gathered with tents, takeout food, laptop computers, game consoles and even widescreen TVs. They all wanted a front row seat at Aggie Cotton Bowl history.

“It’s just Johnny fever. Everyone has it,” said Tiffany Lu,  a sophomore from Friendswood.

The students have the fever for a quarterback who may be the first freshman to own a Heisman Trophy by the time the Aggies face the Oklahoma Sooners in January.

“Just the way he plays, his style, it’s just really, really exciting. Cause you never know what he’s gonna do next,” Nick Shields said.

The students are waiting for their number to be called at 7 a.m. Thursday. There are roughly 5,000 tickets up for grabs.
