HOUSTON - The Houston Astros interviewed former Washington Nationals manager Manny Acta a second time Wednesday.
According to the team's official site, it is the first candidate to come in again to talk to team officials.
Acta was fired by the Nationals back in July. It was his first managerial job at the big league level. The former Astros prospect signed with the team whne he was 16 years old and spent the next 16 years with club.
Acta was one of 10 men who interviewed for the open job starting last Wednesday. Interim manager Dave Clark, Astros minor league field coordinator Al Pedrique, former Milwaukee manager Ned Yost, former Arizona manager Bob Melvin, and former Astros skipper Phil Garner were some of the others that interviewed for the job.
Acta is considered to be a finalist for the Cleveland Indians job as well.
