Michael Bourn press conference
The Astros’ newest centerfielder is home grown; Michael Bourn is back in the city of his roots.
The big trade during the general manager's meetings in Orlando was the Astros’ 5 player swap with the Phillies. The big players in the deal were Brad Lidge for Michael Bourn. Talk about excited; you can pencil bourn into centerfield where he'll be flanked by Carlos Lee and Hunter Pence.
Bourn is a speedster which is always helpful in running down fly balls at Minute Maid Park and Ed Wade says the Astros aren't done dealing. Bourn played 3 seasons at U of H we found some file of him scoring from second in a game at minute maid park. As a youngster he was a pretty fair basketball player at Nimitz high school as well as a baseball player.
