The World Series is over but not forgotten. Fans flocked to Hermann Square in front of City Hall Friday during lunch to remind the Astros how much the team meant to the fans and the Houston area this season.
"It was quite a ride wasn't it?" asked Mayor Bill White after the introductions of Astros Lance Berkman, Craig Biggio, Mike Lamb, Adam Everett, Dan Wheeler, Phil Garner and others.
Announcer Milo Hamilton emceed the event, which featured speeches by the mayor, owner Drayton McLane, Garner, Biggio and Berkman.

80-year-old Sofia Garza might have enjoyed it the most. She proudly told us she's cheered for the Astros since 1966.
She had a front row seat for the festivities.
"I take a lot of pride in the fact we were able to bring the first World Series ever played on Texas soil," said Ms. Garza. "And that it wasn't the Rangers that did it. It was the Houston Astros."
