Ben Brust scored 17 points and Wisconsin devastated American with a 22-5 run to close the first half in a 75-35 victory. The second-seed Badgers trailed by seven points early in the game, but recovered to turn it into a rout. Wisconsin shot 57 percent in the second half to improve to 27-7.

Guard Trevor Cooney scored 18 points and backcourt mate Tyler Ennis added 16 as Syracuse dumped Western Michigan 77-53. The 28-5 Orange forced 11 turnovers in the opening half and scored 13 points off them in running out to a double-digit lead before the midpoint of the period.

Talib Zanna scored 16 of his 18 points in the opening half, helping Pittsburgh build a 28-point on the way to a 77-48 rout of Colorado. The Panthers shot 51 percent to improve to 26-9.
