HOUSTON – One of the top wide receiver prospects in the state, Frank Iheanacho of Westside High School, made it official on Wednesday by signing with Texas A&M.
“You don’t get this opportunity very much and I’m happy I was able to make it this far,” Iheanacho said. “It’s definitely going to be something I will take full advantage of.”
The 6’6”, 210 pound senior was a US Army All American in 2013 along with being an All-District selection for the Wolves.
Iheanacho caught 47 passes for 722 yards and 16 touchdowns during his final season at Westside.
“College Station just made an impact on me and stuck out during this whole process and I’m happy I can say that I’m an Aggie,” Iheanacho said.
The Westside product will join forces with last year’s top prospect Ricky Seals-Jones from Sealy to form a great duo for an already explosive Texas A&M offense.
“I just want to come in and make an impact, keeping those values that I came in with,” Iheanacho said. “I just want to come in and make something of myself.”
Iheanacho was one of 6 players from Westside to sign national letters of intent on Wednesday.
