The UH junior felt he could have made Team USA, but to everyone’s surprise, he decided to realize his Olympic dream by heading back to his family’s roots which meant going to Jamaica.
Ignoring his family’s request of staying to run for the United States, the Rosenberg native traveled to the island nation last month with his father. He qualified for the countries 4 x 400 meter relay team.
KHOU 11 Sports reporter Daniel Gotera caught up with Nolan who talks about his qualifying experience, which included meeting the World’s Fastest Man, 2008 Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt.
