HOUSTON - Fifth year head coach Jonathan Dismuke is the architect of this turnaround for the Houston Cougars. When he showed up on campus, the team was ranked 175th in the nation.

Now? The team is ranked 8th in the country after winning 3 top tier tournaments in a row.

The last time UH won a national golf title was back in 1985. It marked the 16th in school history. Now, Dismuke and his players want number 17.

The number one player on the UH team is junior Roman Robledo. Robledo was recently named the National Player of the Week and has won three straight individual titles. However, a few years ago, playing on the national stage was the furthest thing on his mind.

KHOU 11 Sports reporter Matt Musil caught up with Robledo and the rest of the UH golf team.
