HOUSTON – The Houston Texans announced on Monday that reserve defensive end Tim Jamison has a torn right Achilles and will miss the rest of the season.

"He ended up playing four or five plays and tore his Achilles, so (I) feel bad for Timmy," said Kubiak. "He’s worked real hard, and was a big positive going for us.

Jamison had three tackles and a sack through 5-plus games this season. The 4th year man out of Michigan served as the primary back-up for J.J. Watt.

Kubiak said that rookie David Hunter, who played the University of Houston, might get the call up from the practice squad.

"We only carry six guys on our team so we’re very shorthanded defensive line-wise but we’ll have to do something," said Kubiak. "Obviously we can’t sit there and run Antonio and J.J. into the ground. We’re going to have to go get them some help or pull it up from within so we’ll see what happens."

The Texans also announced that right guard Antoine Caldwell, who sustained a concussion on Sunday night, is following the league’s protocol for concussion management and Kubiak isn’t sure how long he’ll be out.
