HOUSTON – The Houston Texans hosted their annual Charity Golf Classic at River Oaks on Monday afternoon. Head coach Gary Kubiak and players like Matt Schaub, Owen Daniels and J.J. Watt were in attendance for the round.

The event raised close to $370,000 for the Texans Foundation which helps support the Houston Texans YMCA, the Boys and Girls club and the Houston Food Bank.

The Texans will begin off-season work outs this week with rookie mini-camp, but a player that won’t be there is Ed Reed, who had hip surgery two weeks ago and could be out until the middle of Training Camp in August.

But with the bad news comes some good in the form of Brian Cushing. Head coach Gary Kubiak has been impressed with the linebacker’s rehab and having him back is a much needed boost.

Daniel Gotera caught up with some of the coaches and has the story.
