HOUSTON -- On the eve of the Texans showdown with the Cincinnati Bengals, cheerleaders and music acts took part in a dress rehearsal and donned their game faces.

“This is my first year on the team and I never want it to end,” said Lauren L., one of the Texans cheerleaders getting set to perform a brand new routine.

Country music sensation and Houston native Clay Walker, who penned the Texans theme song, also went through the paces.

“There’s just nothing quite like being at home and being in front of tens of thousands of fans,” said Walker.

Some fans lined up at a local mall in hopes of scoring free tickets at a Texans sponsored promotion.

Ryan Dunsmore got a freebee by winning a contest on Twitter -- all courtesy Texans running back Arian Foster.

“They’re my favorite team and to see them in person is just amazing,” said Dunsmore.
