HOUSTON – Houston Rockets guard Patrick Beverley suffered a partially torn muscle in his mid-section during the first half of Wednesday night’s season-opener, team officials said Friday.

Beverley left the season-opener against the Charlotte Bobcats in the second quarter and did not return. He will rehabilitate the injury over the next 10-14 days and will be re-assessed at that time.

The Rockets host the Dallas Mavericks Friday night at the Toyota Center.
