Strake Jesuit tops The Woodlands in boys soccer semi’s

GEORGETOWN, Texas—Houston Strake Jesuit topped The Woodlands 3-2 in UIL boys state soccer action.

Strake Jesuit (27-0-1) built a 3-0 lead Thursday and held off the Highlanders rally.

Strake Jesuit scored when James Garcia-Prats threaded a pass to Robbe Tarver, who scored after faking the defender. Minutes later, the Crusaders scored when Garcia-Prats centered a pass that Eric Lahart redirected into the goal for a 2-0 lead.

Strake Jesuit extended its lead as Tarek Darouiche kicked in a loose ball minutes into the second half.

Down 3-0, The Woodlands (25-2-2) scored when Sasha Pilipovic-Wenger slipped past a defender and scored with 22:39 left in the match. Pilipovic-Wenger got an assist in the final goal when he broke down the defense and slid a pass to Connor Mowery, who scored.
