AUBURN HILLS – Houston Rockets point guard Patrick Beverley injured his right hand in the first half the Rockets 114-97 victory over the Detroit Pistons.
Beverley sat out the second half and had his hand wrapped up. The Houston Chronicle is reporting that Beverley could be out 4-6 weeks.
With Beverley being out, the Rockets are left with very little depth at point guard. Jeremy Lin has missed time recently and did not play against the Pistons either. Aaron Brooks is the only point guard left.
The Rockets are expected to call up rookie point guard Isaiah Canaan from the Rio Grande Vipers to help fill the gap at the position.
