ORLANDO – Off the heels of a great performance in the Fiesta Bowl, University of Central Florida quarterback Blake Bortles has decided to declare for the NFL Draft.
Several media outlets including ESPN have confirmed the news.
Bortles led the Knights to a 52-42 upset victory over Baylor in the Fiesta Bowl. He racked up 394 total yards and 4 touchdowns in the win.
The redshirt junior put together a great 2013, passing for 3,581 yards and 25 touchdowns. He also ran for 6 scores.
Several draft boards have listed Bortles as the third best quarterback prospect in this year’s draft behind Louisville’s Teddy Bridgewater and Texas A&M’s Johnny Manziel. Bridgewater has declared for the draft while Manziel has yet to make a decision.
