HOUSTON – Running back Charles Sims has informed the Houston Football program that he is weighing future options in relation to his football career.

The Houston Chronicle reported on Wednesday that Sims has decided not to return for his senior season. Sims, who graduated this year, could transfer to another school or decide to enter the NFL Supplemental Draft.

"We congratulate Charles on receiving his degree last week and becoming a Cougar for life. He has been a leader for our program both on and off the field with a number of accomplishments," said Houston head coach Tony Levine.

Sims totaled 851 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns on 142 attempts in 2012 along with 37 receptions for 373 yards and three touchdowns.
