EVANSTON – Houston Texans head coach Bill O’Brien held a private work-out with Eastern Illinois quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo on Tuesday in Evanston, Illinois.
The work-out was first reported on Twitter by Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune.
O’Brien and other NFL scouts were in Evanston for Northwestern’s Pro Day.
During his senior season, Garoppolo shattered Tony Romo’s passing records at Eastern Illinois by throwing for 5,050 yards and 53 touchdowns. He was also the recipient of the 2013 Walter Payton Award.
Garoppolo finished his career with 13,156 passing yards and 118 passing touchdowns.
