President Obama invites Yates hoopsters to White House

HOUSTON—President Barack Obama has invited Houston’s Yates High School boys basketball team to visit the White House. Many high school basketball polls declared Yates the mythical national champions of the 2009-10 season, in which they went 34-0 to win their second Class 5A state title in a row. They still have a 58-game winning streak. No date has been set for the visit, but reports have said that it will be sometime later this year.
