INDIANAPOLIS – Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel ran one of the fastest 40-times amongst the NFL quarterbacks at the NFL Combine. Manziel clocked an official time of 4.68 seconds.
That number is higher than the initial, unofficial times that were recorded right after he completed his runs. Manziel clocked times of 4.63 and 4.56 seconds on each of his two runs.
The fastest time came from Virginia Tech quarterback Logan Thomas, who ran a 4.61. He was folloed by Miami quarterback Stephen Morris with a 4.63 and South Carolina quarterback Connor Shaw with a time of 4.66 seconds.
Manziel, who elected not to throw for scouts at the combine, will do a full work out for teams at his scheduled Pro Day on March 27th. The Texas A&M quarterback also completed the vertical jump (31 1/2") and broad jump (113")
Meanwhile, Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater elected not to run or throw on Sunday morning. UCF quarterback Blake Bortles is doing both. Bortles came in with an official 40-yard dash time of 4.93 seconds.
