KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- Kyle Lohse allowed one run and three hits in five innings, and the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Houston Astros 6-1 Tuesday.

Matt Holliday hit a two-run triple in a three-run first against Jordan Lyles and scored on Lance Berkman’s a sacrifice fly.

Lyles, competing for a spot in Houston’s rotation, gave up four runs and seven hits in five innings.

Erik Komatsu had three of the Cardinals’ 12 hits.
