HOUSTON- When it comes to who will lead the Texans into the next game, Houstonians have spoken.
“Case Keenum, absolutely,” said Steve Mergist. “I think Keenum proved himself this weekend and he should get the opportunity to see what he can do with the Texans.”
“I would go with Case Keenum,” Chris Henkel agreed. “You’ve lost four in a row without him. He lost one, but he had a good showing against a good team this week.”
There is no doubt Keenum had a great game day. He threw for 271 yards, had a touchdown and, best of all, no interceptions.
But some die-hard fans still believe the veteran quarterback should start when we host the Colts.
“I say Schaub,” Gege Cooper said. “He’s a wonderful quarterback. He brought the team so far, so why not have faith in him now?”
As for the final say, Coach Gary Kubiak summed it up this way:
“I mean obviously Matt is our starting quarterback,” he said. “Case played this week because Matt wasn’t healthy. Kase played extremely well. I’m going to sit down, we’re on a bye week, I’m going to evaluate where we’re at as a team and move forward from there.”
