HOUSTON - Going fast is nothing new for Cameron Burrell.
The former Ridge Point High School track star comes from good pedigree. His father was an Olympian 100-meter world record holder, but he’s carving out his own path.
Cameron is the defending state champ in the 100 meters and took second place in the long jump. This past summer, he competed against the countries best in New York at the Addidas Grand Prix and won, with a 100 time of 10.40 seconds.
This fall he’s enrolling at UH and will run for his father Leroy, who is the coach.
The work never stops for an athlete who has bigger goals.
