HOUSTON – Houston Rockets guard James Harden was named Western Conference Player of the Week for the second time this season, the NBA announced Monday.

Harden was recognized for his play during the week of Dec. 31 through Jan. 6. He was also honored earlier this season for his play during the week of Oct. 30 through Nov. 4.

Harden led the Rockets to the NBA’s only perfect record of the week at 4-0.

He averaged 29.3 points, 3.25 steals and 5.5 assists as Houston defeated the Atlanta Hawks, New Orleans Hornets, Milwaukee Bucks and Cleveland Cavaliers.

Harden also extended his streak of scoring 25 or more points to 12 consecutive games, which ties for the season longest such streak in Rockets history.
