HOUSTON – The Houston Texans have signed former Texas A&M quarterback Stephen McGee to a Reserve/Future contract. McGee spent three years as a back-up quarterback with the Dallas Cowboys.

McGee played in three games, completed 46 of 82 passes for 420 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions while with the Cowboys.

The 2009 4th round pick was cut by the Cowboys before the season started and despite trying out with several teams, wasn’t signed by anyone.

McGee joins Matt Schaub, TJ Yates and Case Keenum on the Texans roster at the quarterback position.

The Texans also signed DE Keith Browner, TE Jake Byrne, LB Delano Johnson, WR Jeff Maehl, LB Mike Mohamed and T Nick Mondek to reserve/future contracts.
