Mark Sanchez has a lot of sixes going on right now in his stats line.

The New York Jets quarterback wears No. 6 and he lost 23-17 -- a six-point loss—to the Houston Texans in the 666th Monday night football game. Sanchez’s unsightly quarterback rating is 66.6, and he has thrown six touchdown passes and six interceptions.

Oh, and his longest pass play of the season? Yep, 66 yards. Sanchez is also averaging exactly 6.6 yards per pass attempt.

With Halloween coming up in a few weeks, that’s some spooky stuff. All the sixes had Twitter abuzz this week, with natural references to religion—and the devout Christian backup quarterback Tim Tebow, of course.

An ESPN writer even jokingly tweeted that it’s all "more proof that God wants Tebow."

Making it all a bit more strange was the fact that a few hours before the game against the Texans, Tebow tweeted: "Looking forward to giving God all the glory in tonight’s 666th Monday Night Football game. Romans 8:37-39
