FRIENDSWOOD – Every four years, it seems like the one sport that draws the most attention is curling. It became an official Winter Olympics sport in 1998 and has grown in popularity ever since.
Here in Houston, the sport has its own history. Back in 1973, the Curling Club of Houston was formed by Canadian residents who were in Houston for business.
Now, the club has a solid core of members and every time the Winter Olympics roll around, they host “Learn to Curl” sessions down at Space City Ice in Friendswood.
KHOU 11 Sports reporter Daniel Gotera went down to find out what the sport is all about.

The Curling Club of Houston will host another "Learn to Curl" session on February 23 from 9 am to 11 am at Space City Ice down in Friendswood.
