PHILADELPHIA – Free agent outside linebacker Connor Barwin has signed with the Philadelphia Eagles. The deal is reportedly for 6 years and worth $36 million.

The two sides reached an agreement on Thursday.

Barwin, who was drafted by the Texans in 2009, had a career high 11.5 sacks in 2011. That production dropped off in 2012 where he only pick up 3.

He missed the 2010 season due to injury, but during his 3 years in Houston, Barwin had a combined 109 tackles and 18 sacks. He was a big part of the team’s "Bulls on Parade" theme that started during the 2011 season when Wade Phillips took over the defense.

On Twitter, Barwin tweeted "Crazy couple of days. Hard to put into words so I guess I'll let Boyz II Men do the talking #BullsOnParade" He attached a YouTube clip of the song "End of the Road" to his tweet.

Barwin, who is from Detroit, joins former Texans DeMeco Ryans and James Casey with the Eagles. Casey signed with Philadelphia on Tuesday night.
