HOUSTON -- Baylor University women’s basketball star Brittney Griner says she was bullied as a teenager in Houston, according to the New York Times.
In a first person essay in the New York Times, Griner says she was “bullied in every way imaginable, the worst was the verbal abuse.”
Griner says people would tease her about her height, appearance and sexuality every day.
The Baylor senior was the top selection in last month’s WNBA draft.
