HOUSTON – Houston Texans linebacker Brian Cushing left Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks in the third quarter with a concussion and did not return.
Cushing had 9 tackles, 6 solo and a forced fumble before the injury.
The Texans lost to Seattle, 23-20, in overtime.
“Obviously it’s like anything else; like having a backup quarterback going into the game, the communication system and you’re working through a new guy and those types of things," Texans head coach Gary Kubiak said after the game. "We do work on that in practice, so it should not be complicated. But, we’ll have to go back and look at that. We still played good enough to win and should have found a way to win the football game and we didn’t.”
Coming into the game, the linebacker had 24 tackles and 1.5 sacks on the season.
