HOUSTON - Being a soccer goalie is not for everyone, but Jacob Briggs wouldn’t to be anywhere else on the field.
The Cy Springs senior is one of the anchors of the Panthers defense and is enjoying being back on the field after taking a break his junior year.
Coming into this past week, Briggs had a .39 goal against average with 10 shutouts on the season and he says there’s nothing quite like the rush of making a big stop.
Ever since he was little, his father has been teaching him all the skills needed to be the best at the position. Off the field, he’s in the Top 10 percent of his class so whether soccer is in his future or not, Jacob should be just fine.
KHOU 11 Sports reporter Daniel Gotera has the story.
