HOUSTON – Astros owner Jim Crane has made sweeping changes since taking over the organizations and it doesn’t seem like he’s stopping anytime soon.

The team is exploring the option of moving it’s spring training site from Kissimmee to somewhere on the eastern coast of Florida, possibly joining up with another team, like the Blue Jays, to share the facility.

Crane also says the club is in negotiations to buy the New Orleans Zephyrs and moving them to Montgomery County, just outside the Woodlands.

The Zephyrs are the AAA affiliate of the Miami Marlins but their contract expires in 2014 as does the one the Astros have with the Oklahoma City Redhawks.
