COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M officially joined the SEC on Sunday July 1st. On July 2nd, they started making their campus look like they belong.

Hundreds of Aggies were on hand on Monday outside of Kyle Field to raise the 14 flags representing each of the 14 schools in the Southeastern Conference. The Aggies and Missouri are the two new members of what some believe is the best college football conference in the country.

New Athletic Director Eric Hyman joined new coach Kevin Sumlin for the ceremony.

"At several schools that I have been to, I’ve gotten to play at Alabama at night and Mississippi State at night, but I am looking forward to all of them," said Sumlin. "I say that now, but in six months I might have a different story for you."

"We’ve been preparing for the season, not just the moment," says linebacker Jonathan Stewart. "If we would have prepared for the moment then we would be far behind all the SEC schools so all summer we’ve prepared for the whole football season not just for this special day."
