HOUSTON -- A Baytown 3rd grader who survived non-Hodgkin lymphoma has made a touching YouTube video for Texans' player David Quessenberry who was just diagnosed with the disease.

In the video, 7-year-old Jake Daniel offers advice and tips for Quessenberry as he battles the same cancer.

"When you get mouth sores, eat Jell-O and always flirt with nurses," said Daniel.

The elementary school student was diagnosed three days before Christmas last year. He has undergone months of chemo but is now in remission.

"I'm a big Texans fan," said Daniel.

Quessenberry saw the YouTube video and responded with a tweet: "Jake, you just made my day my friend. Wise words, young stud, can't wait to meet you."

Jake's mother couldn't be more proud.

"We want to use his story to help people know they can make it through it as well," said Bonnie Daniel.
